Sultanate of Rum

Background

The Sultanate of Rum list in MeG represents the sultanate from the time it became a more typical Perso-Islamic state rather than a more tribal based one than it had before. This involved a certain amount of centralisation of power, coining money and instituting a building programme to glorify the ruling dynasty. The armies prior to this list are covered by the Early Turcoman Beyliks list. The start date is somewhat arbitrary and the end date is when the sultanate ceased to be able to field meaningful armies on its own and had been reduced to a vassal of the Ilkhanid Mongols.
